It is difficult for adults to wear bicycle helmets. (I wrote this article on my blog 16 years ago).
The reason has nothing to do with comfort or safety. It is related to the signal.
Semiotics is the science of flags, signals and other communications. It studies the behavior of a person (or someone) based on limited information when looking for the information behind the signal. All of these behaviors are to seek a sense of belonging and social status.
