As the 2014 Nike 97 Air Max NFL season approaches the Philadelphia Eagles have announced that they be doing battle on the gridiron wearing the latest in high-end Nike athletic apparel. The team announced prior to their preseason game with the New England Patriots on Friday night that they will be using new Nike fabric in their jerseys this season. The team debuted the new look against the Chicago Bears last week.According to Nike, the Elite 51 uniform chassis offers a fully integrated uniform system rooted in body-led design. The NFL Nike Elite 51 uniform chassis is built for a body-contoured fit resulting in zero distractions to help amplify speed.

Once upon a time, the idea of a sneaker company working with a boutique shop or an artist to produce a fresh take on an old favorite was unheard of. It used to be an all-business relationship between the two but once stores stared to become more cognizant of their "brand", they began to work their contacts on the other side, you started to see kicks in colorways and themes that you never imagined were possible (or legal). Even as recently as a few years ago, sneaker collaborations were reserved for the most exclusive of exclusive names and the subsequent kicks were either given or sold to a very select number of people (aka "cool kids"). Thanks to collaborations like the UNDFTD Air Jordan 4s and the Supreme Nike SB Dunks and Nike Presto others, there was a period in sneaker history when wearing a "collab" was as hot as it got.

But now that some sneakerheads are already buying the Nike KD 7 in stores, we now have to ask the sneakerheads out there what the legacy of the Nike KD 6 will be in the long run. When it comes to sheer number of colorways, no other KD got as many chances to shine as the KD 6. It seemed like every colorway Nike Huarache that dropped came with a story from KD s life. Across nearly 40 colorways (including Lifestyle options and GS exclusives), you can easily imagine that some felt natural from the start while others were kind of hokey and contrived. KD also benefitted from the multiple options on NIKEiD throughout the year such as the Chroma and the Gumbo League, often ahead of when LeBron and Kobe got theirs.Performance also goes a long way in defining a sneaker s legacy and for many players in the NBA and across social media, the Nike KD 6 seemed to fill the void that was left in the wake of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite going high-cut. Thanks to Kobe s influence that low-cut basketball kicks aren t necessarily going to blow up your ankles on the court, the KD 6 may have seen a bump thanks to those Kobe fans that wanted a new pair to ball in but were Nike Kobe not going to wait for the Nike Kobe 9 EM or Low Elite.

The Nike KD 6 will also be remembered as the shoe that Durant wore en route to his first NBA MVP award. Even though his emotional speech has become the butt of many jokes, he was worthy of the honor and his myriad of epic scoring performance were all done in the Nike KD 6, not some takedown shoe. Durant was such a believer of his signature shoe that he didn t even bother to wear the Elite version come playoff time, even though the Elite was seen by some as being a better-performing and better-looking shoe overall. So we want to hear from the Kicks On Fire audience if they think that the Nike KD 6 is already a classic sneaker. Vote now in the poll below and sound off the in the comments and let us know if you ll be rocking the KD 6 long after it disappears from store shelves.

Depending on who you ask, Foamposites are either the greatest thing ever or a dark cloud that hangs over the sneakerhead community. People who defend Foams (ie. those that actually wear them) love the sneaker s ahead-of-its-time design and colorful palette that has inspired multiple spinoff kicks, all of which are chasing the standard that the first pair laid down back in 1997. Detractors of Foams say that they are overpriced monstrosities and don t deserve the attention that they get, citing how most people (allegedly) are only interested in them relative to their resale value. Just look up any first look or teaser image of an upcoming Foamposite and you will see what we mean; the love and the hate are equally represented. As much as we like to write about "Foam Fatigue" and its effects in the sneaker community, that Foamposite train isn t stopping anytime soon, not when we see that Nike Sportswear is looking to add new dimensions to the silhouettes, as evidenced by the recently released "Fighter Jet" and "Weatherman" colorways.

If you have a sneakerhead or two in your life that can never have enough shoes, then you know that you can t go wrong buying him or her a shoe for Nike Flyknit the holidays. You can make the sneaker even more special by making it a 1 of 1 by hitting up Nike s customizable NIKEiD program. If you want to give the shoes as a gift and make sure that they arrive before Christmas then you have to order them by a certain date because it takes at least a couple of weeks for the turnaround time.Today we meet the six patients/designers who will be designing the 2016 Doernbecher x Nike Freestyle Collection.Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more information and update regarding the 2016 Doernbecher x Nike Freestyle Collection.
